The Whole Hander

Jimmy has been so happy since turning five, he is convinced that he grew over night and is now the biggest boy around. I took him on his first shopping spree to Toys R Us and I have to say it was the best experience that I have ever had. He doesn't shop like Taylor, we walked in the store, he said to follow him and he knew what he wanted, grabbed it and we were off and back home in no time for him to play. He got several Thomas the Train toys and finished his Disney Cars collection. I would have to say for the cart being half full when we left, it only took about 15 minutes.

Jimmy starts Kindergarten in the fall and I have decided to add The Letter People to our curriculum this year and was very happy to find it on Ebay. This was what my sister used in Kindergarten and she loved it. Not only does it come with coloring pages and activities but every letter has it's own song on CD and also comes with a DVD showing all the Letter People in cartoon episodes. I am so excited to introduce this to him. Jimmy has learned a lot this year and really enjoys school. Isaiah does school with us Monday and Wednesday, so Jimmy has someone learning along with him.

Jimmy also learned a sad lesson the other day while playing outside. He found a big snail shell and I guess he didn't realize that something actually lived inside of it and while riding his bike decided to run over the shell and made the discovery that something wasn't right. When I told him that it was a snail and it lived in the shell, he realized that he had killed it, it was very sad for him, but I just explained that just because you don't see something inside doesn't mean it's not there and it's best not to destroy things that he finds. Of course, he has probably forgotten all about it, but I think that was his first time seeing death.

I hope you all enjoy the pictures and watch the mail for yours to arrive.

Happy 5th birthday to my beautiful baby boy! Daddy and Mommy are so proud of what a great big boy you have become and we look forward to the wonderful man you will become in the future. Mommy is a little sad that my baby is growing up but I know you are so proud of being 5-years-old.

Jimmy just informed me that I must call him "Birthday Boy" for the rest of the day. He woke up bright and early to open his birthday gifts and has really enjoyed all the phone calls he has received today. I will list all of his gifts after his party on Saturday. Thanks to all who have made his birthday special, he loved hearing from all of you.

Easter Bunny Was Here

Yep, Jimmy again
"I don't like food!"

Jimmy loved his Easter basket and couldn't wait to get to Aunt Bev and David's house to start the "party". He had a lot of fun coloring eggs the night before and he even went to bed earlier than usual so Easter Bunny would hurry up. I woke up to a very excited little boy screaming by my bed, "I got Toby, Mommy, I got Toby!" Toby is one of the Engines from Thomas and Friends. Once we got to Bev and David's he played with Isaiah and then Aunt Bev took him for a bike ride around the neighborhood and finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt.

Here are a couple pictures of Jimmy at his last game. He really loves t-ball now!

Almost A Whole Hand

Jimmy is so excited for his 5th birthday next Thursday. We are planning a party at Lake Bonnie Park here in Lakeland with all of his friends. He still has not decided if it will be a Bob the Builder or Cars party, but I am sure he will figure that out in time. I can't believe my baby is going to be five, it just doesn't seem possible.

T-Ball Video

The boys had a great game last night and everyone seemed to hit the ball on the first try. Teresa and I work concession tonight and let me tell you, we are so excited...not really, but at least we get to work together! Enjoy the videos of my two favorite little guys!

Rascal Flatts is one of Jimmy's favorite groups and he loves this song but I think of my two precious children when I hear it. Jimmy, while you're in the back seat belting out this song, I have a tear in my eyes because I think of all I wish for you throughout your life. I love you Baby Boy!
