Jimmy and His Egg
Last night Jimmy had us in stitches and I thought I would share the story with all of our readers. Eric, Taylor and I had been watching I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and Jimmy had been back playing his new Spider-Man game on the X-Box. At the very end of the movie , Jimmy came out and announced to all of us that he was a chicken and was going to lay an egg. He sat down on the floor and started bawking and flapping his "wings", doing this several times before climbing on the couch next to me and repeating the same movements. Eric snuck off to the kitchen and grabbed an egg from the refrigerator and placed it on the floor where Jimmy had been sitting. All of a sudden, Eric said in a loud voice and pointing to the egg, "What is this!" Jimmy looked and his eyes got huge, total amazement. He jumped up and exclaimed, "I DID IT! I LAID AN EGG!" He ran over and picked it up and kissed it several times letting us know that it was his baby and he couldn't wait for it to "patch" (his way of saying hatch.) We laughed so hard we cried. He placed it in the fridge for safe keeping but checks on it's progress often. I placed a video and a picture of my son and my "soon-to-be grand baby".

Jimmy's First Snow
Of course, Jimmy was around during snow but has never played in it, he just doesn't remember it. You should have seen his face when it started snowing a couple weeks ago and then last week we had enough snow for him to play in. He was so excited to get on that snow suit, hat, gloves and coat. He stayed out there for at least 30 minutes.

Kindergarten Schedule
These are the classes Jimmy is attending this year.
1. Paganism (15 minutes)
2. Letters and Sounds (10 minutes)
3. Letter People (15 minutes)
4. Social Studies (5-10 minutes)
5. Number Skills (10-15 minutes)
6. God's World (5-10 minutes)
7. Writing (10-15 minutes)
8. Art (30 minutes)
Art is done every Friday with an activity of the month. I do get Art books for both kids on their grade level, so it is part of the curriculum. For anyone who wants to know, I go through A Beka for all the children's school books. This is the only curriculum that I have ever used but it was referred to me by a home schooling group out of Brandon, Florida. So far, I really love all their material and plan to keep using throughout both the children's education and yes, I plan to home school until graduation.
