Just Like Grandpa KyKy

Mom sent me this picture a couple days ago and I just love it. The two will be together soon and I know little Jimmy can't wait.
Jimmy has been enjoying summer break so far, he is outside right after breakfast and has even been taking naps again from playing so hard before lunch. I am glad he has so many little boy friends around here and he is such an active child, always running or on his bike. Jimmy has started playing football with the boys and really enjoys this activity and yesterday received his first injury when he had someone fall on his leg. He's fine but has a huge bruise and today informed me that he has boo-boo's all over.

The Whole Hander
Jimmy has been so happy since turning five, he is convinced that he grew over night and is now the biggest boy around. I took him on his first shopping spree to Toys R Us and I have to say it was the best experience that I have ever had. He doesn't shop like Taylor, we walked in the store, he said to follow him and he knew what he wanted, grabbed it and we were off and back home in no time for him to play. He got several Thomas the Train toys and finished his Disney Cars collection. I would have to say for the cart being half full when we left, it only took about 15 minutes.
Jimmy starts Kindergarten in the fall and I have decided to add The Letter People to our curriculum this year and was very happy to find it on Ebay. This was what my sister used in Kindergarten and she loved it. Not only does it come with coloring pages and activities but every letter has it's own song on CD and also comes with a DVD showing all the Letter People in cartoon episodes. I am so excited to introduce this to him. Jimmy has learned a lot this year and really enjoys school. Isaiah does school with us Monday and Wednesday, so Jimmy has someone learning along with him.
Jimmy also learned a sad lesson the other day while playing outside. He found a big snail shell and I guess he didn't realize that something actually lived inside of it and while riding his bike decided to run over the shell and made the discovery that something wasn't right. When I told him that it was a snail and it lived in the shell, he realized that he had killed it, it was very sad for him, but I just explained that just because you don't see something inside doesn't mean it's not there and it's best not to destroy things that he finds. Of course, he has probably forgotten all about it, but I think that was his first time seeing death.
